3 EXCELLENT HOME BRED COLOURED STALLIONS

Templeman Drummer, Little Wolf and Cherokee have all been purposely bred to maintain the British and Irish Bloodlines that have been the foundation of many of British and Irish Competion Horses that are coveted and sought after throughout the world.

The British and Irish Thoroughbreds crossed with good, well made work horses of years ago have been the foundation of the horses we produce today

It is of the utmost importance we do not get side-tracked from this foundation breeding if we are to continue to breed Class Bone and Movement in the horses we wish to produce and compete with at the highest level or to hunt or to become our special friends to hack and enjoy without the stress of top competion.

It is with these traditional factors in mind we have set out to breed and produce our own Stallions who possess and produce all these qualities.

To date we have the 3 Coloured Boys who we are using and 3 others who will come to the forefront in about 2/3 years.

We started the Stud off with the young Thoroughbred – Golden Heights. He was bought out of training as a 5 yr old having won 5 Races and placed 7 times. We then retrained him as a riding horse and stood him at stud from a 7 yr old.

He grew on to be 16.2hh, has outstanding movement and class that he has inherited from his very illustrious pedigree – all of which he passes on having sired many outstanding offspring which have gone to the highest level in Dressage, Showing, Working hunters, Eventers from 1 to 3 day, Show Jumpers, Race Horses Flat, NH and Point to Point etc etc

No matter what breed or type of mare he has covered the offspring have had success in all aspects of the sport they have competed in - which is an outstanding feet in itself.

His own pedigree is one of the most significant in Thoroughbred Breeding, having a wealth of Derby and Classic Race winners within it. He is by the great Shirley Heights who was by the infamous Mill Reef and out of Windmill Girl who was by the equally great Blakeney, and, I believe, to be the only mare to have bred two Derby winners, being Blakeney and Morton.

It is not often you get such an impressive and influential Sire and Dam Line in a Stallion especially a thoroughbred stallion who is available to all mares whether Thoroughbred or part bred.

The Dam Line is of equal importance when breeding Stallions. For this reason we have always very carefully considered the breeding lines of the dams of our potential Stallions

The dams are either very well bred registered thoroughbreds, or part breds with Thoroughbred and Irish connections, they all move, have excellent jumping technique and have super temperaments

From breeding as above we have sold and produced many hoses that are competing at the highest level and some have gone on to be Stallions in there own right. A Page of these will be posted on the web site at a later date as getting the up to date results and photos is quite a complicated and time consuming exercise.

Due to the economic climate, the general expense of horses and the fact that these Stallions are all just beginning their careers we are prepared to work out some very good rates for clients both at Stud or with AI.
